Jared has spent his entire career immersed in the finance and derivative industries, over 16 years now. His style is high consistent returns with low risk and portfolio volatility. This is attained through complex option strategies and a wide variety of diverse instruments that most traders are not able to execute.
As one of the youngest-ever members of the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, Levy became an independent market maker, trading the largest volume issue on that exchange, Dell. In the late 90’s he became a member of the American Stock Exchange, trading Cisco Systems options and stock.
He was chief market specialist for Equitec Proprietary Group on the American Stock Exchange and made the markets in the Nasdaq-100 options, as one of the largest volume traders on the floor. Jared was also a member of the Chicago Stock Exchange. He also served as an options specialist on the Philadelphia Stock Exchange for companies including Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (KKD), Expedia.com (EXPE), Baxter Technologies, and Broadband and Semiconductor HOLDRS products, among others.
After leaving the floor, Levy traded distressed assets and consulted for Thomson Financial. In 2004, he joined Wizetrade as Chief Options Strategist and on-air options expert. Since 2004, Jared has been live on air as an anchor/expert fielding questions and educating viewers from around the world, unscripted and raw on several different net works.
Jared is featured in dozens of industry publications and won an Emmy for his daily market e-video, “Trader Cast.”
He was a CNBC Fast Money contributor and has appeared on Bloomberg, Fox Business, CNN Radio, Wall Street Journal Radio and others. He is regularly quoted by Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, Yahoo Finance and more.
In 2008, Jared joined PEAK6 Investments as their Senior Derivatives Specialist. He was one of three traders who managed ONN options alerts service and IGP trades. Jared also worked as the Senior derivative strategist for OptionsHouse.com (a subsidiary of PEAK6).
He currently publishes a paid weekly derivatives trading newsletter for Insider Strategy Group.
Jared actively invests in real estate around the US and has held his real estate and insurance licenses in Pennsylvania as well as his Series 7 and 63.
